Omega – Endings give rise to new beginnings

“Omega (the last letter of the Greek alphabet) is often used to denote the last, the end, or the ultimate limit of a set” (Wiki)

When it’s over, It’s over!

Time to let go and give rise to something new.

Most all of us don’t do well with change. We lament the death (end) of – well – ANYTHING . . . even sometimes when that ending is for the good.

It’s the cycle of life – Ending is painful . . . birth is painful . . . then youth – adolescence – maturity . . . ending . . . new birth (beginning) . . . and the cycle continues.

It’s the “Alpha & Omega” – “the First and the Last” “the Alpha and the Omega of Whom alone the end becomes beginning, and ends again at the original beginning without any break”

How often do you hang on to the “status quo” only to regret having done so when it finally ends and hindsight gives you clarity that ending was the best thing that could have happened.

One door closes, and another door opens . . . What happens between the doors ain’t easy.

This applies in every aspect of your life. When you’ve allocated an hour for a meeting and are “done” in 30 minutes, do you compliantly sit in the room and continue to hash and rehash for the remaining 30 minutes, or do you acknowledge that “It’s OVER!” and move on to something else (more productive)?

Most fired or quitting employees feel relief knowing that the termination of employment was a long time coming.

The Omega moment is “the ultimate limit of a set” . . . that is, that point at which it’s OVER. The sooner we all acknowledge that moment, the sooner we can move on to other pursuits.

Tell the truth! When you hit that Omega moment, you mentally leave the room anyway, right?

So . . . why stay?

To be polite?

At what cost?

Is it worth it?

Give rise to new beginnings and see yourself as the Doula (Birth Helper) to snap others out of their trances and move on.

Let it go!

I’m just sayin’

Best,

b

PS – Thank you to John Brittle (JB) for the word “Omega”
